I am a daughter, a mother, and a nana. My family is very important to me. I live in the Carolinas… beautiful country. For most of my life, I have been an active, sports enthusiast who walked everywhere and carefully monitored my diet.
I am also a person who is now disabled due to chronic lyme disease afflictions. Long-term lyme disease affects my joints, muscles, nervous system and my immune system. I sleep a lot of the time due to fatigue that is overwhelming. I sit in a lift chair that helps me stand up. I use a wheelchair for mobility. I have anxiety attacks, and sometimes I have trouble communicating or signing my name. I think it is important for you to understand what I have lost due to my disease.
I do have good days, but not as many as I would like. I also have a voice, an opinion. That is what this blog is about… what I think… about anything and everything.
